Krasnulyak is a physical table tennis studio in Napier. It is a place where you can book a table and play independently, or request coach-led practice, in a straightforward and friendly environment. Our focus is simple: time on the table, practical guidance when you want it, and enjoyment of the sport.
Krasnulyak is a table tennis studio where people can book a table for their own use or take part in sessions led by a coach. We offer table hire for independent play, one-to-one coaching and small-group training. That is the whole of what we do, and we aim to do it well. We are a local studio, not a national sporting body, an official association, a professional league or a high-performance national training centre. We are not a medical, physiotherapy or rehabilitation service. We are a place to play table tennis and to practise.
Our approach is practical and unfussy. We focus on clear practice, appropriate drills, consistency and sensible guidance, all while keeping the sport enjoyable. We do not claim a proprietary or scientifically superior method. Instead, we concentrate on giving you useful time on the table and, where you want it, coaching that suits your experience and your goals.
If you prefer to practise on your own terms, Table Hire gives you a booked table to use as you wish during your session. You might play a recreational game, run through personal drills, or practise with a friend. The time is yours to use within the confirmed booking.
In One-to-One Coaching, a coach works with you individually. Sessions can be shaped around your stated experience level and the aspects of your game you would like to develop, from the fundamentals through to more specific areas of practice.
Small-Group Training brings together two to four participants for coach-led practice. These sessions are built around shared drills, partner work and practice games, so you can develop your game alongside others in a cooperative setting.
People come to us with very different backgrounds, so we use three simple labels to help organise sessions:
Beginner — little or no formal table tennis training.
Intermediate — able to maintain rallies and familiar with common fundamentals.
Advanced — plays regularly and has greater technical experience.
These labels are used only to help us organise sessions and match practice to your needs. They are not official rankings, national classifications, qualifications or certifications.
Krasnulyak is set up for practical play. We keep the space organised so that sessions can run safely and comfortably, with room to move around the table and clear playing areas.
A table and net are provided for every booking. Balls are provided for use during the session, and basic bats are available if required, subject to availability. You are also welcome to bring your own bat if you prefer. We do not make claims about particular brands or equipment specifications.
To keep everyone safe and the studio running well, we ask you to:
keep personal belongings clear of the playing areas
respect neighbouring playing space
avoid sitting, standing or climbing on the tables
avoid moving equipment without permission
report damaged equipment to our staff
follow reasonable staff instructions
You will find Krasnulyak at 198 Emerson Street, Napier South, Napier 4110, in the heart of Napier. If you have any questions before you book, you are welcome to get in touch.
